Get your IndexNow API Key

Go to bing.com/indexnow/getstarted and generate a key, or create your own — 8–128 characters using letters, numbers, and dashes.

Create the verification file

Create a plain text file named {your-key}.txt containing only your key as the file contents. For example, if your key is my-key-123, the file is named my-key-123.txt and contains the text my-key-123.

Upload to HubSpot File Manager

Upload the .txt file in HubSpot File Manager and copy the hosted URL that HubSpot assigns to the file.

Create a URL redirect

In HubSpot URL Redirects, add a redirect from /{your-key}.txt to the File Manager URL from the previous step.

Using multiple domains? Add this redirect on each domain you want covered by IndexNow — Bing verifies ownership per domain.

Enter your API key in the app

Open IndexNow Sync inside your HubSpot portal, paste your API key into the key field, and click Save.

Verify

Use the Verify Key File button in the app to confirm Bing can reach your verification file. Once verified, IndexNow Sync will automatically submit pages and blog posts to Bing every time you publish.
